Fun Party Invitations

In planning your princes or princesses party, there always comes the point of figuring out invitations. With so many options to choose from (e-mail, Facebook, party pack, handmade, etc) not many have a special touch that will leave guests remembering the special day. Wal-Mart has a solution for this: photo invitations with Disney characters! Though they do not have a large Disney selection, what they do have is very cute (and they do carry several pages worth that is not Disney as well).

My husband and I love to use these invitations not only because they fit our party themes well, but because - years later - several of our guests still have them and mention them frequently. It is a cute little memento that can be framed, or put in photo albums (or in my parents case, covering the refrigerator).

Also, our kids are able to choose their own photo and usually request that we do a mini photo session before creating the invitation.  For my son's second birthday he was so excited that he chose his own picture, font, font color, and helped with the wording. My daughter analyzed her options for an hour before settling on the princess invitation below. It's a great way to give young kids some control over their big day!

Not only are these invitations adorable, but they are reasonably priced - only $0.29 each including thick envelopes. Though this is slightly more than the cute, but slightly generic, invitation packs it is well worth it for that unique Disney party.
